Privacy policy

I take your privacy and the security of your website seriously. This explains what I collect and what I do with it when you ask for a free audit, or hire me to set up your schema markup or Apple Business listing.

1. What I collect

• Business details: name, address, phone number and hours — the information that ends up in your markup and your listings.
• Contact information: your name and email address, so I can send you the report and tell you where things stand.
• Access credentials: temporary login access to your site (WordPress, Wix, Squarespace and so on) — only if you hire me to do the work and choose to hand it over. The free audit never needs it.

2. What I use it for

• Writing and validating the structured data on your website.
• Verifying and setting up your presence on Apple Business and Apple Maps.
• Telling you how your setup is going.

I don't sell, rent or share your information with third-party marketers.

3. Credentials and security

Website logins are sensitive and I treat them that way. If you give me access to your site:

• Only I use them. There's no team and nobody else sees them.
• Give me temporary "Editor" or "Manager" access rather than "Administrator" whenever your platform allows it.
• Once the work is verified in Google's Rich Results test, revoke my access straight away. The markup stays working without it.

4. How long I keep it

I keep your business name, address, phone and hours on file for 12 months, so I can help or re-validate if your site changes. You can ask me to delete it at any time by emailing steve@schemahouse.com, and I will.
